This course is for those who want to work abroad in the Caribbean or the Mediterranean. It is the Celestial Navigation Theory component. You’ll learn basic and advanced Celestial Navigation

The course is a 6 day theory course in the brand new Maritime Training Center at Whitsunday Sailing Club in Airlie Beach.

Pre-Requisite

Master of Yachts Limited 200 Ton or AMSA Master < 45

Sextant Competencies
Use of a sextant for coastal navigation
Star sight planning
Measurement of time
The PZX Triangle
The Earth and the celestial sphere
Noon sights
Sun/Run/Sun
Moon/Stars/Planets (For Dawn and Dusk sights)
